The Satrap's hitmen having /persuaded/ me to return to Gancaloon and do
something about the harbour, you see me standing on the quay, musing
about what to do next.

Awesome.

Now, for a sailor, or someone which was on boat lately, the tan of the
skin is far too white.

Maybe you're bald, but what about facial hair ? Was there any barber on
the boat ?

I was just dropped there coming from a rainy country ;-)

All the result of the /gentle persuasion/ of the Satrap's hitmen...

Wonderful, I really like your Gancaloon-Series. Can I get an abo? The only
complaint I have with this picture is that the walls are only white. As I
understood it so far, Gancaloon is situated in an kind of hittites setting, who
are known for a special kind of brick laying architecture. And have no white
painted walls.

Best regards,
Michael

Thanks indeed. What is an abo?

Of course. As you may remember, This is the /faked/ urbanism which is
only good looking from a distance. Up close I shall have to find another
solution with /real/ houses. First of all, the water front is going to
be occupied by store houses which will partly hide the offensive hovels ;-)

Not a Hittite setting, although you give me an idea to pursue further in
terms of urbanism; The city is mainly Greek with several foreign
influences (India in particular).

very nice. I also found the blank walls of the generated houses to
be the most obvious problem. While you may try to hide them with real
architecture it may be tedious to have to hide everything and it's also
visible in the distance. So it might be useful to play with some greeble
like texture for the vertical walls to give an impression of windows,
wooden beams, bricks, cracks or whatever is appropriate.

And of course the roof texture could also be more interesting than
gray. I assume you currently use a slope pattern to determine the color,
but you can of course use that with an arbitrary texture_map, too.

Yes that might be a compromise. Except for the geometry I have not paid
much attention to this.

No, it is rather crude, using cells pigment with grey and white. Needs
looking into while also needing some readjustments. I could probably
make it much more believable even from fairly close up. One of the
million things to do in this world ;-)

But you should be looking down... that floor really needs not get ride
of the repetition. :) For a start, you could just scale it bigger.

Otherwise, it's developing very nicely. I'm really looking to see this
place completed some day... I know you have the patience, ;)

Yes, yes, already improved (scaling indeed, and use of pigment_pattern.
Still some repetitions to hide by miscellaneous objects...

I hope to see it finished one day... probably impossible in my life time.

Sorry, a simple translation error. I believed the original French "abonnement"
has intruded the English as well as the German. It is subscription in English.

Best regards,
