I can't think of a concrete example, but I was thinking perhaps something
that showed a struggle. In other words, it might have more of an impact if
the viewer could see some sort of struggle (to live/survive) going on within
the Worldbowl, while outside the Worldbowl, things are peaceful. That may
be cliched, but it has more of an impact on me. Life in the Worldbowl may
not be so great.

You haven't taken this path so far, so maybe that would be too drastic of a
change, and as always, I'm just offering ideas. I think this is looking
quite nice.

Its an interesting idea. I wonder though how to depict that,
with the small scale and the boundaries of the sphere... And
its daylight inside the bowl, because the lamp is on (and this
is an essential lighting part for the image in its entity), so I can't
depict some epic struggle in the darkness with a spotlight
(metaphorically talking here).
And putting some warscene in there might appear a little
like some Vietnam-Soldier, haunted by his memories (I don't
want to offend any of those, its just something I don't want
to convey with the image).
Something dramatic might be nice inside the bowl, but I
have no clue what would be fitting.

Heh, perhaps someone jumping off the lighthouse? Naah.

It is a nice idea, but it strays off from the original concept of
the image (in which the worlbowl represented something like
a broader view on things, where detail is lost). Why don't you
go ahead and try something like that? I wouldn't mind anyone
using the idea of the worldbowl. Since I'll make the code
public when its done, I'd have no problems with some version
of my worldbowl with interesting interiors.
Might even make a nice POV-Community-Series or such. :-)

Naah, my images don't cause that much stirring... :-)

Big windy waves and a small sailboat? Or really big waves and a big ship.
I guess it would depend on the perceived scale of life inside.

Just ideas, again. There's nothing wrong with a peaceful world. Perhaps
I'm too negative... ;-)

The same holds for me: Just ideas. It's your picture and you already did
a great job. If you don't like my ideas, simply disregard them. I won't
be offended in any way.

:-)

You guys are really trying not to get crossed with someone, aren't cha?
I like getting feedback, and I like to comment on it from my side, in order
to get people acquainted with what I'm thinking of the image, so that they
might come up with an idea that enhances the image in their as well as
in my perspective of the image... Wups, long sentence there...

So, suggestions are always welcome, and discussing them should always
be an option, IMHO. I think all participants gain something that way.

After all, I do know that I don't have to use any suggestion I don't want
to, its my picture, its all mine! >:-)
Still, some spark new ideas, and these I might use. You've still helped me then.

Regards,
Tim

Well, after writing two harsh answers to Thorsten, I felt like being
friendly to prove that I am not a completly nasty guy...

LOL

Its sometimes difficult to get along with some guys, though
most of them mean no harm...
(except for Ken, who likes to shoot... ;-)

   Lol! Source? ;)

That's what it's aaall about Tim. Which is good.

But I think you have a good imagination anyway, the Worldbowl
wouldn't be there if you didn't!

   Keep up the good work.

*lol*

No, all of you must succumb to my evil intellectually superior ideas. Throw
all of your ideas away! Only mine are valid! ;-)

Actually, I often feel apologetic when critiquing anything anyone does.
Since I'm still relatively new to this, I'll freely give my opinions, but
sometimes _I'm_ not even sure if what I'm saying is a load of @$#*. Also, I
really haven't posted very much in terms of images I've created, so no one
really has anything to judge me by... yet... In about 3 weeks, everyone
will get a chance (IRTC). Perhaps I just want everyone to be nice to me...
hehe
