ANY feedback is good, but yes, I like it. I may have a go at my own 'Plasma
Machine' soon.

Just making it clear that I realise my error, and I'm not doing this stuff
just to **** people off ;-)

Cool luck.
Andrew.

Mmm... Interesting...

(Of course - *real* plasma is supposed to be ionised gas at heigh
temparature and low pressume, isn't it?... Or that watery bit in people's
blood, depending on which kind of plasma you mean ;-)

Me I just like an excuse to make interesting images. Oh, and I got one of
those plasma ball thingies at home. (Never did work out why the streamers
are blue, but the terminals are pink...)

Andrew.

Pressure doesn't really matter. The ionized gas a lightning bolt passes
through is at quite a high pressure for a short period of time. And the
sun is just a big ball of plasma with portions at an extremely high
pressure.

Different temperatures and voltage potentials. The ball contains a
mixture of gasses, some only ionize and glow at the central electrode.

I always wondered about that... And about how you can touch the thing
without frying yourself to a crisp ;-)

(Actually, I find that if I balance a metal object on top of the glass, I
can get little sparks to fly off it onto anything that's earthed... Burned
my finger doing that!)

Andrew.

and with pngcrush you can recompress png files to get the smallest
possible file size

-brute (Use brute-force, try 114 different methods [11-124])
but usually brute-force is not needed ;)

either you download the whole article or drop the connection to the
server and reconnect AND don't download the big article the next time.

Actually, it must be OE. All the other newsreaders I've seen display the
text and then the image as it downloads. I thought OE did this too, but
I haven't really used it much.
