Hi all,
At least Simon De Vet and Tor Olav Christensen will remember the quantum
computer buttons. Simon modelled his button in Rhino and "provoked" by
calling it incredibly simple, arrgh! And Tor Olav made his ISO-key, with
just a few lines of code, but it takes relative long time to render.
Here's my CSG key! eheh heh.. Took me over 10 hours to hand code, and
resulted in one sleepless night and headache.. Well, I'm sure Gilles and
H.E. Day will either laugh at me or feel pitty. But it's not so simple
at all..!!
These ones render quick though, and consists only of primitives and some
triangle routines.

Nothing is ever simple with POV! That's why we love it, right???

I think they look good, now how about some letters/arrows or something.
Try using project through for the letters.

I think that there isn't enough CSG-primitives
in standard POV to model a "perfect" CSG-key.
But these are not bad !
Where on the key did you use the triangles ?
Around the upper corners ?
I guess that you got some geometry exercise
when doing this modelling. :)

Possibly true. Well, my keys are also not 100% perfect. But I spend lots
of time to vipe out most visible errors ( + keeping code's flexibility).

Everywhere I would otherwise use boxes. Triangles were better in this
case. It does prevent the key from ever being transparant, however.

Well, without a challange, I wouldn't bother.. But I do prefer a
*reasonable* amount of work. It's difficult to make a defination of what
is an adequate effort, but I think these keys demanded a little more
than reasonable. Because other people wouldn't expect it to be so hard.

Thanks! YES they look good. ;o) And they have very correct form and
size. Sooner or later I will continue on them.
