Check out the read me file that accompanies the SuperPatch. There is a
really good model for angle dependant reflections specifically for liquids
(reflection_type 1). This really messes with radiosity settings (just my
experience), but it is so *very* realistic.
  My favorite environment for reflectivity is a desert scene applied to the
inverse of a sphere. A little turbulence helps, it's true.

Well.. This project has changed drasticly. From beeing a modelling task, to a
texturing task.. and that isn't really what I had in mind..

I'm going to finish this one off now.. make a .inc and post here..
please, show me one with a good water in it :-)

and no, I'm not quitting on the water... I'm going to revive an old scene with a
well in it... try and see what I can improve in it... (mostly light-settings,
radiosity. No angle dependent reflections, since the water isn't that visible,
and shouldn't reflect much in the place I have the camera.

Nice work.

Water colour:  Background/Skysphere.  I think thats probably it.

Irid:  Looks good.

Metal:  Multiple textures.  One plane gray, then on top one with
a darker grey with a bozo pattern and clear.

I've never seen an oil burner like this before, all the ones I've
seen have been made of clay.

I've seen those too... in all forms, small houses, mushrooms. but I sorta liked
this one for it's clean shapes. It fits my room better than the others.

the model :-)

  It worked for me in a scene I've been working on to show off photon
mapping. My scene needs more work to look presentable but try adding a
color pigment to the water and the superellipsoid difference object to
make it temporarily more visible while you tweak the superellipsoid
parameters to get the right amount of 'cling' to the sides of your
container object.
