Nice radiosity, but this image needs anti-aliasing badly, and higher
resolution.
The image itself is great!

BTW, if you go to the povray.org page, the new logo
seems to have been chosen, and it's miiiiiiiine, yoo-hoo !
Cheers,
Fabien.
P.S. : about your image, using radiosity is fine, but it
should look much better (and less confusing) with matte, non-reflective
materials.

Hey, congrats! No email or not posted somewhere about "winning"? :)
Looks nice there, even if non-povers wouldn't realize that is a julia
fractal (it is, isn't it?).
I may want to use any one of the ones made at my web pages, scattered
around some. Do I get permission now if I try that? Asking here now I
guess. I could even add the button authors name into the ALT= of the
image.

I noticed that, but I was waiting for the POV Team to announce it
officially. Congratulations, sir!

You mean it isn't just a reflective sphere? I thought I was getting good at
identifying objects... :_(

I don't quite understand what you want to do, but here is the source
code :

Cheers,

That is some of the most <sniff> beuatifuly presented code <sniff>
I have seen posted around <sniff> here in a long time. I't so beautiful
I'm almost <smiff> ready to break out in tears at the site of <sniff>
it !
Thank you with sharing that with me fellow disdenter.

LOL !!
If you want to see how far it could go, take a look at my IRTC entries
zip files. In fact, I don't like to scroll (vertically) too much within
a scene file, so, often, when an object's modelling is finished, I
"compress"
many lines of code into one, or just a few, lines :
#declare Stuff=union {sphere ... cylinder difference ... torus
{intersection sphere ...{ difference ...union {...}}}...}}}} texture
{pigment finish normal}}
Cheers,
Fabien.

Then you would feel right at home in one of my scene files. Here
is a short section of a scene I worked on 2 days ago unedited and
pasted directly into this message.
#declare Scrw_1=union{#declare aa=0; #while(aa<2000)union{
cylinder{y*-1.4,y*1.4,.22}cone{x*.2,.35,x*.5,0 scale<1,.45,.51>
translate<0,-1.2,0>rotate<0,-1.125*aa,0>translate<0,.00125*aa,0>}}
#declare aa=aa+10; #end}
Nothing is sacred and yes two objects on the same line people.
Embrace the feelings you experience as you look into the face
of the disdented Pov source code. Rejoice in the feel and look
of what must surely come to pass as the future of Pov coding and
know that you too can become one of it's early disciples.
Remember to Repent - Remember to Disdent. It's not too late !
