I don't like the wings. It doesn't look very menacing either. If I were in
another mech, I'd probably just ignore him. Otherwise, very cool! If I were
doing it, I'd give it a proper body, and mount the head on top.

Hey,

Very cool - you have a penchant for desiging cool vehicles ;)

Two things though - no weapons yet (or at least I can't see anything
attached to the triangular mountings). Also, I noticed in your original
post, and again in the Update post there was a small texture problem with
the feathers. If you look at the shodows they cast in both those images,
just at shadow edges in a few spots you can see black specks of shadows. I'm
guessing it is just a texture repeating problem on the feathers themselves,
and scaling the texture up slightly should fix it. This image is too small
to be able to determine if you already fixed it.

Keep up the fantastic work!

Makes me think of "The Angel of the North", a statue made from
rusted metal in North East England, there's probably some
photos on the net somewhere.

*assumes critical mode*

I don't like the wings, they don't seem placed right (too high) and the
texture style doesn't fit with the rest of the mech. I also think the
feathers on the head are a bit much, makes it look like more of a peaccock
than an eagle (though I like the feathers on the side, on the heels
especially). I was think maybe you could work a sort of metal suggestion of
feathers into the head through a bump map or changing thr model (just a
thought). I also heard you talk elsewhere of fitting weapons pylons into
those slots next to the head and making these stylistically like wings. I
thought this would be a good idea, did it not work out?

Nice work, of course, and way above my skills, but it could be better.

Very nice...
As mentionned the wings are no so nice, I'd suggest making an angle wing, like
the actual Eagles... Arange those three stranges antenna on the wings, they
seem useless to the mech as a weapon or a look.
I'd suggest putting the "body" feather on the other side for less
dissymetry(?)...

Otherwise it looks very good!
Why don't you try to free it? Put it in an environment! I'd love to see that!

IMHO, I'm very tired of guns... no an eagle is an animal, can't handle guns...
it doesn't want to destroy its prey, it wants to salvage it properly!.. he
should only have razor blade claws!

It think the author wanted the mech to have an Indian look... we only see
destructive beast looks for usual mechs... this one is different!

I saw a movie once on mech combat, don't remember the name tho... some kind of
arena, anyway, the mechs always had Humanlike looks, and at one combat there is
a mech that is different, it is much more powerful because it has eight legs! An
arachnid! More stability, but heavier and I think that is its flaw...

Originality is way better than conformity!
