Since I installed Moray on my new PC (Windows XP), the program has
difficulty starting. When the flash screen indicates 'initializing', the
frames do not appear, and the surface remains transparant to other
programs/background. After some manipulation, mainly involving clicking at
random on the screen, the frames appear one by one. This happens faster if I
select a new scene instead of the last opened. Otherwise, everything works
normally.
Any idea?

As far as I can tell, everything is updated to the last versions...
What I don't understand in this instance is that the Moray version is
*older* than the soft/hardware. So what is this about latest drivers???? I
am really a total moron on PC architecture...

Firstly, lack of knowledge does not map to moron :-)
Thirdly, a the graphic drivers do the drawing on the screen so if they are
not the latest they might be buggy.
Finally, when a new pc is shipped it might not have all the latest versions
of hardware drivers.

I know, I know :-)

Indeed. What makes me wonder is that only Moray shows problems. No other
(more recent) graphic software I have installed...

Indeed. However, it automatically updates all drivers when available, so I
assume.....

I won't!!! :-)

The road to Hell is paved with assumptions, or something like that.
It is a b*gg*r when software you rely on stops working :-(

Thomas,
Your problem could be just the opposite. See the thread, "Moray no longer
works :( ".
