Thanks for the responses. I uninstalled everything, and started again, same
same.

My apologies for the pic, but the attached image appears everytime I start
Moray, been so long I don't remember if it's normal.

I seem to recall making anims with these in win2k months ago. so it may be
my mdl file. I posted in Moray.binaries under the same subject, the mdl
file that I'm using.

It uses Moray 3.3, Pov 3.1G, galaxy plugin, anim plugin, and spray
plugin.there are 60 frames (12 fps for 5 sec) and 2 key frames. I
positioned the ship and the spray object off camera for first frame, and
moved them to center for final frame. Whn I go to render in POV, first
frame renders, and then Moray crashes.

TIA

DeanM

Hi, it's me again...

I just ran another test, this time I used just the spaceship model and a
galaxy object. I set the spaceship to x=-10, and on frame 15 x =0, just
enough to push it in to camera view, and it crashed again. however previous
to that made a sphere move between 3 points forming a triangle, and it had
no problem. maybe my spaceship isn't anim friendly

I've also ruled out the galaxy plugin as a culprit, not that I thought it
was, just stripping down. I'm running my animtest of the sphere moving
around 3 points, now with a galaxy backdrop

OK maybe a slight oddity. I did a save object, and merge object, to get the
spaceship out of the rest of the logo. just the space ship, and the camera,
and I have hints of light at points of my model, with no lights in the
scene. behind the nose cone, and at the engine exhaust port. Fuselage is a
hollow rotational sweep, and if I look dead into the exhaust it's dark, but
at an angle it looks like the interior of my sweep is lit.

Hellllllllllllllllllllp please.

Hi Dean MacIsaac Jr., you recently wrote in moray.win:

Hmmm. Do you dismiss this dialog box with OK? If so, it should not
come back next time. What that would mean is that Moray can't
configure POV-Ray properly. And that might be the reason things aren't
working smoothly....

Do you have multiple POV-Ray versions installed? You may want to
describe the paths and installations of POV-Ray that you have....

Dean,
For what it's worth, I opended your .mdl file in moray, and when I tried to
render it, PovRay would not render, siting an error opening "texture2.bmp"

i got that error as well but thats not the point. just take any bitmap
instead. But when trying to render this animation my computer took a
total timeout ( & told me to go to bed at 1.00 am :) ) There seems to be
something really crazy with this file, but i've not been able so far to
find out what.

so long Arne

first time I started moray today, the same window opened but each time after
that it did not. However I just opened Moray by doubleclicking on my
spaceship.mdl, and it reappeared. Moray Com. DLL installed NO.

I firmly believe my model is at fault. I made an animation of a ball with
the galaxy background, and it animated fine.

I'm going to post images, and a zip in m.bin. this goes with my previous
self response with odd things going on in my model.

I appreciate everyones help, turns out it is noones software, (wasn't sure
that it was to begin with), my model is just very wierd.

Thanks again,

DeanM

Hmm, but the animation is rendering without a prob if you throw out the
Galaxyobject.

just noticed by Arne
