MegaPov is not currently available. I went to upload a new version Sunday
night, and I was able to delete the old versions and just then the FTP
server died. Supposedly they are trying to fix it, but I still can't get
anything to upload to it. :-(

The Unix version of MegaPov 0.3 is working like a charm, passing all the
tests that the previous versions failed (the readme that says otherwise
appears obsolete at this point). I made some changes to the makefile:
you no longer need to do "make new*" when building different executables
(quick and dirty fix), and there's now a "make all" option (perhaps more
useful to me than to anyone else).

UniMegaPov (Unix source, Linux binaries) is now up at

Chag Sameach! ;-)

I didn't get a chance at version 0.2 yet. Hopefully I only missed the
latest bugs is all and this time get some more of the new features checked
out. I'm starting to wonder when it'll hit version 1.0 now with all these
number changes.
Thanks from me too, as always, Nathan and to the other patchers.

Thanks Nathan. I'll have a lot to play with next year.
Megapov wouldn't be a working name for Pov 3.5, by any chance ? It's full
of incredible goodies, fixes old "official" problems, compiles under
several platforms... Radiosity and media now work fast and well...
Wow. It really looks like something the next official Pov could (should)
be.

I think this too! Just need a good help with a good explanation of
the very nice features of this incredible release!

When I look commercial software, I am saying to me Pov is great!
Commercial software has just good modeller and animation facilities
that Pov don't have but concerning the rendering engine it is
often not better than Pov! (some commercial software include
caustic ( and even standard raytracing) only since few time)

Fabian.
