Does this imply that development has stopped now ?

The reason I ask is that I have hesitated adding your patch to the
patch section of the links page until you have worked out the bugs
and have finished adding features. I feared if I were to list it too
early and others start compling it into their own executables they
might miss some later important changes. If you are nearing
completetion with it I will add you to the hall of records and advertize
it for you.

No, just that I have completed it enough to bother releasing a runneable
version. I don't think there are any bugs left, but I am calling it a
beta version, just in case. :-)

I think it is fairly complete. If people have some good suggestions
about additional features and syntax, I will try to incorporate them,
but the only things I will be adding are bug fixes(if any are left),
possibly additional types of components(cone, box, torus...), and maybe
some more density functions(if I can figure out any more to add).

Guess what, I found a bug. I think I did, anyway. At least a
"misfeature". I don't think the threshold keyword does what it should.
Anyway, I will release a new version soon, and I will also try to add
the ability to use a pigment for each component instead of just a color.
That might be interesting.
After that, I can't really think of anything else to add(other than more
component shapes and density functions), so it is pretty much safe for
anyone else to add.

Oh, almost forgot...

Not really, for the moment I am calling it "POV-Ray +blob textures",
which is somewhat of a misnomer, because it is mainly useful for media.

Ok, as promised, I uploaded a new version which fixes the problem with
threshold and adds the ability to specify a pigment for each component.
The component pigment portion may have some bugs still lurking in it,
but I couldn't find any in my testing.
The main feature set is complete, I simply can't think of anything to
add.The next update will probably be either a bug fix version, added
density functions and component shapes, or integration with the
Superpatch and my other patches.(That last one won't happen until the
new version of the Superpatch is released, and I get a good compile
working.)
There may be minor syntax changes, but probably not. I am pretty
satisfied with it as it is.

Hmm, there is a blob_pigment and a blob pattern...you can use pigments
in the components...might make for some interesting pseudo-fractals.
Then again, might not. I don't really see much use to nested blob
pigments, but it is a possibility.
