I do understand. Whenever that old "Why-am-I-knocking-myself-out-for-a-bunch-of
greedy-selfish-hairless-monkeys-wallowing-in-their-self-imposed-ignorance?"
feeling gets me down, there's a little song by the Bonzo Dog Do-Dah Band that
cheers me right up.

I was lucky enough to find a link to it (with some nifty clay-mation) here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aolMV0oNCBE

Enjoy.

Best Regards,
Mike C.

The fun of getting there, and the knowledge that you did.

Not to mention the knowledge that some ancient Greek guy figured out the
solution back in 842 BC and if you'd just read a book, you could have
saved yourself 8 pages of algebra...

Impressing people online is more improbable than winning the lottery. With
something like half the world online (OK, making that up, but probably
close), even if you are in the top 0.001% of the population in any given
category, it means there are probably over 10,000 others who are better than
you, and we have all already seen their work, read their blogs, watched
their videos... etc. The solution? Buy a lottery ticket.

Heh. As if I could ever pull *that* off...

Sometimes I can't help but feel that YouTube will be the downfall of
society :(

My problem is I simply don't read every thread, and don't reply to all
the ones I do. Since I've seen many thousands of threads of posts which
are nothing but "Cool!" or "Wow!" or "lol" and nothing else, I've
stopped posting such replies myself. They feel a bit too close to spam
for me.

That doesn't mean I'm not impressed; I just don't feel I have anything
worthwhile to contribute to the thread.

Heh. Maybe that's why nobody comments when I write something in my blog.
Maybe I should just assume that no comments = everybody is intimidated
by the sheer awesomness of what I just wrote and doesn't want to spoil
the moment with cheap Monty Python references? :-D

Well put! Even so I wasn't impressed, I don't know enough to be
impressed. I've worked in/with computers for coming up to 40 years and
that programming thing is not my thing.

Andrew you can talk to Dr John about that next week. I'm looking
forward to meeting you.
