Thank you Droj. I'll have a look at it.
I should mention that I have now made a modified version of my L-system library
that can create 3D shapes. - And I've managed to render a 3D Hilbert curve. But
I have not had time do more test.
Now I'm in doubt if I should create a new repository for the 3D version of the
library, or if I should update the existing 2D library, making it more
circumstantial to use.

Hi TOK,
it's GREAT news that you found the 'holy grail' of LSystem - 3D shapes.
Please let me see the 3D Hilbert curve.
I guess I will faint or get an heart attack. <big grin>
I would love to test your 3D modification of L-sytem. But where is it?
So, if it's not too much effort I think it's better to create a new repository
with the 3D version. Maybe some users are contend with a 2D version to create
'patterns' and some others like to explore the capabilities of the 3D version to
create plants/trees/etc.
You made my day!
Cheers, Droj

Hehe
Here it is. (I don't have time now to make it look nice.)

This has been a busy summer for me - and it still is. So it will take some more
days before the 3D library will be available.

Ok. Then I'll do that.

Hi TOK,
Gee, no need to make it look nice: it IS nice! This is bilsom for my sore eyes.

Don't worry and take your time. It's summertime and the time for outdoor
activities.
Meanwhile I start biting my fingernails <grin>.
For me Christmas will be early this year.
Cheers, Droj

Hi TOK,
I am truely sorry for being such a pest but there is some little thing missing:
#local S = asc("f"); // Forward but draw NO line
This makes the 'turtle' jump to the new location and resumes drawing from the
new location.
The command enables the L-system to produce 'gaps' or asymmetrical patterns or
growth.
Enjoy cruising the Norway Fjords and fishing.
Cheers, Droj

Yes, that command was missing for a little while, but it's there now.
Have a look at the pov-file for the "Islands_And_Lakes" image to see it in use.
(Remember to check that you have the latest files from the Github repository, as
something may have changed since your last download.)

I've seen a lot of Norwegian fjords and mountains this summer, but unfortunately
I have not gone fishing (yet).
I hope you too are enjoying the summer.

sorry, "grousing" :-). would it not be "better" to house SDL code libraries on
the wiki, together with a bit of "article" perhaps ?
regards, jr.

Hi Jr
That's because I like the functionality that git provides. I also like Wikis,
but they are not very good for developing code.
As my code is usually open source, anyone can host it elsewhere (e.g. on the
POV-Ray wiki) without asking me for permission. Although that might not be wise
as long as the code is under active development.
I agree that an L-systems article on the POV-Ray wiki would be a good thing.
Unfortunately, writing articles and good documentation is something I struggle
with...

Hi TOK,
I did and the "f" works like magic (to be honest I could not find out why it
does not draw a line although the code is the same as for "F"). But wonders
never cease.

Sure do. It's beergarden season!
But between hanging out in beergardens I collected some interesting LSystem
axioms and rules.
I always had that Penrose tiling in the back of my head and I found something.
Still have check out how to variate it.
Cheers, Droj
