I did this for the peugeot comp some time ago and I just thought I'd post it
here. I didn't win or anything but I still like it. The car was moddeled with
bezier patches in 3dCanvas and exported to POV where I fixed the textures and
set up the scene. Unfortunately 3dCanvas doesn't seem to want to run on my new
geForce FX5500 - that's why I had to hand-code the patches for my music entry.
I'm considering Wings3d now for moddeling, but I haven't had much success with
it so far.

Nice!

Where can I buy this? Has it another seat for my girl of the hour?

Greetings,

Sven

I wouldn't mind one myself =)

It's a two seater but if you want more here's another one I did a long time
ago. I did it all in blobs and CSG.

If you're searching for a patch-modeller to use with POV-Ray, I suggest
taking a look at JPatch: www.jpatch.com

No, not more than two seats! I don't feel ready for kids yet! ;-)

I'll take a look at it.

Erm, totally forgot to mention: Nice pic! Makes me want to do some more
patch modelling...

Did you use any references to create this one?

Greetings,
Florian

It was for the 3rd Peugeot Design Contest back in 2004 so of course I couldn't
base it on an existing car. I first drew the front, back top and side views in
CorelDraw. Then I exported to .bmp and used them as background pics in the
different views in 3DCanvas Pro's patch moddeler. 3dCanvas's patch moddeling is
nice but you can do highly detailed stuff because the control-point-boxes don't
get scaled down when zooming in.

Just keep plugging away at it, it'll come to you. Also, make sure that
you turn on the 'advanced menus' in preferences.

       Nice Peugeot. :)

In some applications turning on Advanced Mode takes away all your menus so you
can only work with shortcuts. It took me a couple of years to get to know
Corels shortcuts, so when I saw the word advanced in Wings3d I simply ignored
it... ;-p

Try, try and try again...
