Looks real good. If only you could make some variation on the tile surface so
that they don't all look exactly the same. That would make it perfect

Thanks, I have played a few with the isosurface object but I managed
only to have a random variation on the pigment that is substracted from
the surface.
I have to try to get some more variable parameters for it

It needs some translation or something. Assuming that every tile is
generated separately, try using something like
pattern(x+(random number * 1000), y, z)
in your iso function.
The sphere reminds me of something I did a couple of years ago when I
was playing with rusty textures.

Nice rsoacp !!
Where did you find the rusty texture ? Can you post the source of this
texture ?
I would like to use it on my own rsoacp.
Maybe we could start a pov pong match on the rsoacp theme ?
Thanks

I though about that also, and decided that I could not do it.
You can not just take somebody else's images and put them on
another web site. It could be in the form of a digest like
thing on the pov ray site though. On the other hand, they would
have to spend some time on it and their time may be scarce.
Can anyone solve this problem?

Hm. I didn't think about the IP issues, but, yes, you're right. Though--
It's such a tantalizing idea, would make for a neat page...
Maintenence would be a bit of a problem.
.... I have another idea, however. Those that want their
"classic-cliche" image featured could always submit it to the website.
Hmmm....

IMHO it should be done, especially as the rest of the world uses
this cliche to refer to us. I checked the website if it was perhaps
already there, but it wasn't yet :( I think in the community page
would be a nice spot.

It sure would, there are too many of them to be on one page, so
they have to be organized, possibly in more than one way.

perhaps you could ask the web team if you can join them and do
this as your special interest?

nice image. One nitpick (sorry): it looks like the
sphere is floating in the air, not resting on the
floor. If this is your intent than never mind :D

why not to propose as a RSOACP as a IRTC theme?
