After I created 1992 first pictures of the house with DKP

http://pege.org/gemini/dkp.htm

I made 1994 a 20 second video broadcasted in TV

http://pege.org/gemini/pov.htm

Now my house is the main attracktion on the
Austrian show about renewable energy in Styria.

This picture is not raytraced :-)
It's from real photones reflected by real objects :-)

I am the man on the right with the broad belt
and the notebook holster

Next target: new village structures
Hope I find the time to realize this project

Glad you didn't build that round here, it's grotesque.

This is a very nice piece of architecture. Cheer simplicity
and soberty makes it a fine landscape element. I have some
more questions and comments, later.

Fabien.

Please learn the origin and meaning of "grotesque" before issuing
such comments.

Fabien.

Yeesh - a bit harsh. What don't you like about it?

I personally like the building. As for the person who called it
Grotesque... I'll take it you mean Defintition number 2 in Webster's
Colledge Dictionary. even though the building itself is "unnatural"
(meaning man made) it is also of a fantastic shape. since it uses a
renewing resource, I would call it Frank Llyod Wrightish. Personally I
sonder how many more uses Povray can be used in this practical manner

work Roland. BTW how much did it cost to build your solar home?

I think "grotesque" is appropriate... perhaps descriptive of the house
than "hideous" but certainly describes the whole effect in it's setting.
Although I like the idea of the house, it is set in a classic, almost
picturesque neighborhood and I am sure the entire area is made unnatural
seeming because of it. It looks like a piece of industrial waste filtering
machinery that the city forced upon the poor residents.

If it had been set in a more modern area, or set apart from the cottages
one sees in the background, perhaps it would seem less grotesque and more
"innovative", or "striking". Less rude and intrusive and more artistic.

Correction: DKB, not DKP, otherwise you don't get to the web page. Besides being just
plain wrong
when it's about the program named DKBTrace :-)

Saw this before but I forget if it's the entire house that rotates or if the solar
panel array is
what revolves outside. I see a curved rail midway up anyway. I'd have guessed only
the panels
move except that deck would allow for a doorway to be oriented throughout the day to
where a person
could still be on that deck while exiting or entering. More difficult to rotate a
house as a whole
though.
I like the uniqueness amongst those ordinary hovels. Would be interesting as a
apartment complex.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
