Hi Steve,
The leaves might look a little stiff because I was
modeling some citrus leaves, theyr'e kinda stiff
anyway. I'll try to add some control over that if
I can.
Thanks for you help, have a great day!

looks ok and sounds quite fast, some information on memory requirements
and what and how many objects are used would be great.

Makes a great tree! mean that it looks like a big old tree, with enough
small leaves it would be very good.
As a bush it is also very good. I like the original version.

Looks good to me. Very fast too.
Did you colour the leaves separately?
How much memory did it take?

I mistyped the time, it was 1:02, not 1:20

Hi Remco,
When I posted the stats, I forgot to answer
your specific questions...
The leaves are colored separately, in fact, a
new texture is created for every leaf using a
macro so the pigment and finish are slightly
different on every leaf, which are also made
individually. The leaves are made with a 4x4
bezier_patch.

Hi Mick,
I'm hoping that I'll be able to use the code to
create both. It seems that shrubs and trees
are similar enough anyway.
What do you think is keeping it from looking
more convincing? I think I've been looking
at it too long :^)
Have a great day!

Thank you for the info. It's surprisingly fast. I would have thought having
separate colours would make it slow and use a lot of memory. 10Mb is not too bad
(although it would have been say 5 or 10 years ago).
Are you going to 'publish' this as a macro or inc? Hopefully then it will be not
too hard to work with for someone with weak brains like mine.
Cheers!

Hi Remco,
Most certainly, I plan to release it after I get all of the
parameters working well together and can properly
comment the code. I'll be posting a couple more
samples soon for some more feedback. I'm trying
to get some trees out of it too.
Thanks!
