That's right. I've decided to do away with all the little floating gun
things. So, the first image is what the guns would have looked like if
I had decided to use them. The second is what it looks like now. Any
questions?
New water, skies, light, perspective(sorta) and blimps. I'm thinking of
using the old ones in various places in the scene to give more life. All
in favor?

Oh, yeah. Good news. :-) I've also decided to put some "human"
influence in the image. You'll see what I mean next post. ;)
Comments?

No offense, but I don't think the improvements have been improving the
picture for a while. My favorite takes were 4 and 10. 4 for the vibrant
details visible on the station, 10 for the excellent blimps and waterfall.
The only thing I've liked lately was the cool pig-ship in the lower left a
couple posts back, and the rainbow too.

Having said that, the picture's still very good, perhaps I've just lost
interest over time. Really, you probably shouldn't listen to us a whole lot.
Constructing an image by committee is a horrible way to go about art.

I agree, much better without the piggies. Some docking bay workers would give
a better sense of scale.

Hello!

You're doing fine HE-Day, and thank you for sharing (parts! hrmm) of the
water texture. :o) Well, this image have developed a bit different
than I thought. Some things are good in my opinon, and some things seem
strange so I'd better mention it:

1) I see you want a "daytime" look, with lots of fresh air.. Great! From
the clouds I can see, it must even be a bit sunny... But all in all, the
picture lacks contrast now. Simply contrast. Darker shadows and light.
This was better in the early versions.

2) The planet / moon in the sky, is fully light up on the left side.
Makes me think how strong the light must be. But compared with the rest,
it's out of proportions.

3) I would consider moving the left blimp further to the left, so it
clearly is not "a part" of the station.

That's all.. Hope you don't mind that we keep telling something is a
little wrong.. It's still a great picture.

Hugo

you did that :-)

I like the idea, and I like the new pic. The rainbows are more subtle,
which is good.

Other than that, no real comments. Others have said everything I would
have.

Well, the piggies are a lot less piggie, but they still needed to go.

The stillness of the non-pig scenes adds size and stature to the blimps
and the station.

The second one is obviously better ;)
I do kinda like the slightly different color of the first one though.

The picture are wonderful, but I will nevertheless nitpick a little
about the rainbow.
I just saw a REAL rainbow by the beginning of April (early in the
morning), and it was not like that:
the color repartition get more room for Red,Orange and Yellow.
Typically the MIDDLE was Yellow, not Green or Blue!

I liked the Piggies. Thought they were cool. And the new blimps, I like :-).
And, even though no Piggies, the second one is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
