Well, here's 2 pictures of the progress so far, adding a slight sense of
scale. I've fixed many other things as well, such as the waterfall,
steam, and clouds.
Also, I'm posting the code for the ocean, a few posts late. :-) Sorry.
#declare OceanTex =
texture {
pigment {rgb .1}
normal {wrinkles bump_size 5 scale 2 scale 4*x rotate 30*y }
finish {ambient -2 diffuse 1 phong 1 reflection_min 0 reflection_max .2
conserve_energy}
}
texture {
pigment { bozo color_map {[.15 rgb 2][.3 rgb 2 transmit 1][.35 rgb 0
transmit 1][1 rgb 0 transmit .5]}
scale 1/8
scale 20*x
scale 4
warp {turbulence .5 lambda 0}
scale 1/4
warp {turbulence .5 lambda 0}
scale 5*x
rotate 30*y
scale 10
}
finish {ambient 1}
}
Hope this helps you see how I think.
Enjoy, and comment!

To be honest I much prefered Take 11! This version seems to have lost the
sense of space and depth. The little flying things shooting lasers around
don't seem appropriate. I realise it's a fort and so built for battle, but I
liked the tranquility of the earlier versions.
Anyway, that's just my opinion. It still looks fantastic (and far better
than my own IMHO)!

This is a beautiful picture. It looks like a watercolor painting. The
pastel colors are really perfect for this picture. Excellent work!

I think you could leave the thing pointing the laser, but without the red
laser, it's too much. The sky and moon look better in the second pic. The
little things are definitely too much....

I actually like the one with the action - just make the laser more
transparent.

I think I have to agree. There's something about this one that lost much of
what I liked, and I can't put my finger on what.
I can offer a few specifics though The little guys are cool, but they make
the scene look busy, too much, IMO. The blimp in front of the tower looks
to be docked, but it's hard to tell how, and it somewhat looks like it's
overlapping part of the tower, which is bad. The jet flares on the blimps
are ok, but I'm not too fond of those either. The smudgy fog on the left is
too much, and needs to be toned down some. The waterfall looks faky from
this angle, and looked much better from higher up, like in some of the other
takes.
