Finally, I got some decent POV time in amidst the druderies of my
"education". New and improved version 2.0 is here!
I experimented a little with media but the render time was ungodly... so
the interior is spherical pattern, tiled with repeat_warps and then
transformed (via MegaPOV function{}) to elongate the bumps in a radial
pattern. I lowered brilliance to 0.8 too, and changed the lighting. I
think it is a drastic improvement over the old one!
Source will be in p.b.s-f. :)
Comments/criticisms please!

Looks good, but it still lacks reflection and transparency on the
interior.
BTW, have you actually tried that in real world too? :-)

Yeah... I don't know how I would do transparency without media. :( I did
overlap highlights to try and give the appearance of a filmlike layer on top
of a wet layer, but it didn't work as well as I hoped. A hint of reflection
may help, but I'm not sure with such a bumpy normal and uniform coloration.
At any rate though I think the interior improved a lot from the last one.

It made a huge mess! ;)

Hey! You keep your personal life out of here. This is, after all,
a 'family' newsgroup.
