This post is somewhat of a response to Paul Daniel Jones' question at p.a-u.
but also for the benefit of proving to others it can be done in case like me
you were skeptical of reflecting light in media.

Two images in one here, shows a spotlight reflecting off of mirrors placed
at four corners of a room filled with media.  The upper part is regular
spotlight (no parallel or cylinder or anything else special), you can see
the faint hint of it's origin's the thin triangle of slightly brighter
illumination between the lower two mirrors.
The second part of this image is a cylindrical spotlight.  Although it's
obviously very wrong I can't say for sure or not if it might be fixable
simply by tweaking on parameters.
Chris Huff pointed out the mediaphot.pov sample scene file that goes with
MegaPov (if you d/l those from Nathan's site) and using that you can change
it to reflect light also and then see for yourself it does indeed work.
Albeit slowly so I'd recommend changing to faster settings such as method 2
media and a lower sample number, etc.

A little more fun with reflected light in media stuff.
Basically, changes to the intervals and samples in the media itself makes
the most change.  I liked the interference wave pattern type thing.  Even
the top left render was showing a diagonal reflection across to each other,
very faint.  Notice that although the cylinder type spotlight was used, for
all but the lower right render, they all reflect like a regular spotlight.
Not good a scene so I won't post anymore of this "test" material here  :-)

The striping is probably from the spiral pattern photons are mapped out
from, that's my guestimation.
Not very long really.  About 3 minutes on this 500MHz machine for those 300
by 300 pixel renders, and that includes photon calculating.
So far I've seen that it's closer to 5 minutes, or more, if better settings
are used.  But not slow at all.  Dare I say fast.
