Well, then on a similar note, may I ask how much time do you spend on this
talent? Sadly, I'm unable to spend half as much time as I'd like to on
raytracing. You mentioned on your site that you are being home-schooled,
and I was wondering how much time that allows for you to play around with
POV. Personally, I go to a public school, and am lucky if I can find
two-hours a week to trace.

Around 4-5 hours a day.

Yet another reason to hate public school.

Hmmm...do I detect some hostility? As much as I too hate the restrictions
on my schedule, a good public school (such as the one I go to) is one of the
best ways to get a taste of the real world and the people in it.

I used to absolutely hate public schools, because my middle school counselors
were all morons, I learned nothing useful my freshman year, my teachers were all
idiots or assholes, half the material was repeat, I had to take "Foundations
Science", there was too much busywork... did I mention I hated my teachers and
resented having to take Foundations Science?
Well, the cirriculum has finally caught up to my level (hmm, a sign my learning
has slowed considerably over the last thre years), I have intelligent teachers
this year (except for my Eng. and bio teachers, but who cares, bio is *sooo*
easy and I've always hated English anyway for it's narrow-minded PC
socio-political moral values focus), the workload is actually *less* than last
year, and believe it or not, I actually find some of the material interesting.
Oh, and my counselors actually have some useful info on my options.
There's still a lot I don't like about public schools in my area, but that's
entirely the legislature's fault.

Don't think that homeschooling isolates from the "real world".
It is, though, a very good way to spend your efforts on the
subjects that need the attention, and waste little time on the
ones that you can master easly. And it frees up time for more
important things, like raytracing
Mr Art

p.s. I have homeschooled my two for 10 years now.

Not hardly. I do have it good though. :)

Ummmm..... Yes. I went to P-S through 4th grade. My parents pulled me out when
I started to steal and fight. P-S was nothing but a year-long camp to me,
mainly because no one told me different.
(And the thing that convinced me that they were *really* dumb was that I stuffed
all my homework into my desk and never touched it and was still getting As !!!!
Idiots!)

Now I'm a year ahead in Math, doing Physics and not having much trouble in
anything else. I am eternally grateful to my parents.

Oh, I don't steal or fight anymore. (If I still did it might be a problem to
everyone else.
I'm 6'5" 235 lbs. and quick on my feet.)

I started homeschooling halfway through 10th grade when I realized that I
had just spent the last five months being bored stiff. I'm now almost done
with my second year of college, and I still haven't found anything that is
particularly difficult. (I don't understand why people claim classes like
Data Structures or Differential Equations are hard).

I think everyone feels a bit like that about their own work, it's because
you've been concentrating on it for so long and you know every single detail
and you know about all the hidden thing that are wrong with it.

Post your work here, some of the simple stuff is the best.
