I got the idea from a 1947 Escher's woodcut. Comments will be highly
appreciated.

It's my first post to the group, and the first time I made an image
"public". I've been playing with Pov for years now without doing nothing
pretty, so I'm kind of proud of this one.

Saludos!

Salutations,

I like it a lot. It has a novel camera angle which is a key to success,
the well has shape and form that is not boring and catches ones attention,
and the tree overhead is not only beautiful in shape but you have captured
it's colors perfectly. All in all I would say you have done a very good
job with this and you should be proud of your work. You should also think
about displaying more of your work in the future if it is near this quality.

With ny regards,

I'm pleased, all you comments guys are very encouraging. But I must set
something straight;

well, that's not mine, it's Escher's, in fact I love this woodcut a lot
because it's his first time playing using the zenit has the <<escape
point>> (I mean: punto de fuga, don't know the english phrase for it).

This is the only trully thing of mine in the picture :), thanks for your
compliment.

That tree it's really yours, not mine. I mean, it's done with the three
macro from R. Suzuki, Gilles Tran, you and Steven Pigeon.

Saludos!

The antialiasing it's an easy one. Getting sensible textures it's the
most difficult thing to me, so I'll use your tip. Also Spider's tip
about the ladder texture normal it's important (I'm taking notes :) ).

Most of my textures are "stealed" from someone else source or from the
povray include files. I haven't created a single texture of my own.

Sound like fun!, I'll try that and the focal blur. I also want to finish
the picture using the Escher's original, I'm still lacking hands
climbing the ladder, a bucket on top of the well, a rope between the
bucket and a wood crank. A house can be seen at the right side of the
well opening, and a dutch (I think) text beside saying: WIJ KOMEN ER
UIT!.

Saludos!
