I love that star shape! It looks great.
I think the distances give it a good 3D feel. Regarding the
focal blur, as Johannes Hubert pointed out the star shape
should be crisp especially that upper left point which is closest.

Thanks. Fair point regarding the focal blur. But....I like it the way it is. And it
*is*
an abstract pic after all. But you're right.

I've posted the source for this scene in povray.binaries.scene-files, should anyone be
interested. ( unlikely, I know, but...)

Looks beatiful.
The only thing I think needs improvement is the sky but maybe it's the
focal blur (assuming your using it, atleast it looks like it)

I really like the new textures, it adds a lot to the image as such. The o
nly
thing I'm reacting on is the "regularness" of the bumps on the ground. A
bit
more turbulent?

Actually, very interested...thank you for sharing. I have a couple ideas I would like
to play
with regarding your scene. Do you mind if I doodle it a bit?

If you want it to look huge, try adding some recognisable small objects,
sychas a house or 2, ppl, whateve, just make them tiny, but recognisable.

will give your scene a sense of scale.

Today I've done a 3.5 hour trace of it for my desktop. Radiosity
and all the trimmings, but not changed a thing.

Thanks
Steve
