Yup. the B/W examples.

I'll start by posting them one at a time here.
Basically, I use the same source as last time, but another background.
i've rendered with different assumed_gamma, and no ambient light.
I made a image as this :
macro BW || Colour (in one render)
then I convert to Greyscale in PSP.
I'm posting theese in fairly high JPEG compression
biggest difference is a highlight on the macro/colour, and the green shadow on
the coloured image.

Well, I'll just Convert the images to JPEG then.

I seemed to mess this one up, reposting and cancelling.

Hmm, the wuality was worse than I imagined.
If you want, I can upload the PNG files(They are only 2k larger than the jpegs.
And theese jpegs are compressed to 50%)

They look well enough for seeing the basic differences. But now I'm
thoroughly confused as to how this output varies according to gamma
correction (adjustment, whatever).

That the difference is in my color conversion macro, but that it is pretty
acceptable in some cases.
the gamma correction doesn't do much at all for the BW macro image.
I tried to get rid of the difference, but I didn't manage that.

I still don't know why there is a difference between the output(I thought that
the blue bow would end the same, if anything, but it differs, as do the grey on
 the background.

What I can do and what I could do, I just don't know anymore
