I feel like there's something missing in this image, but I can't decide what....

I think from a composition and modeling stand point you have done quite
well. I too agree that it is lacking in some overall feel and perhaps it
is the total uniformity of colors used. There is nothing contrasting in the
image to make the important parts stand out and be noticed. What exactly you
may choose to change in this I cannot say but I believe it could bennifit from
a better distribution or change in color scheme.

Me too, I think an intruder may add some feeling. I thought of a
flying butterfly, near the camera but not in the middle of the
picture...

Just a thought.

It would look really cool with Davros (not sure if that's how it's spelt) in
the forground...

Very nice, are these CSG's ?

Just a couple of suggestions :-
1. The "Eye" needs some kind of iris they all look blind with the solid grey
disk, maybe add some reflection to it.
2. The yellow lights on the head dome could do with being bigger.
3. I think that they should be looking in different directions from the way
they are facing. At present they look as if the head doesn't rotate.
4. Why not have one Gold or White Dalek, if I remember correctly they were
   higher rank.
5. Davros would be nice, but maybe a little tricky to model :).

Regards,

Peter H.

Try this...

adjust the angle on the plunger and gun stick, so they both point in
slightly different directions, and turn the head part slight to one side or
the other.

it will make then look a little more real.

the background cavern needs to be lighter, try an off white

Yep, the "Dr Who Technical Manual" was very helpful....

It was supposed to be more of a white. I'll try something else to fix it.

True.

Or the Red ones from the movies (old movies, not the modern Fox one...).

I'll try increasing the ambient. Maybe that'll help.

I'd try a different angle, perhaps a bit of fog...
