Ah, columns and arches. My favourites.

Beautiful image, but one thing bothers me: shouldn't the shape of the
water squirts be more parabolic like, than the
quater-circle-and-straight that it seems to be now?

Well, it has poor quality rad settings for now. Recursion limit is 1,
so the light bounces mainly from the sky. I will try 2 for the final
render, if I can't wait that long...

I'm planning to save rad data with a much brighter light, so it will
improve the shadowed parts. If this doesn't work I must finally start
using MegaPOV...

Well, the camera is the same as the original scene... and I like it.
The main subject, even if the name doesn't suggest it, it's the "patio".

  Thanks!

Yes, I think I will follow Gena advice about using hf leaves instead.

  Thanks!

Ah, yes... the current object is a placeholder (torus+cylinder).

Thanks for all the tips! I'm just playing with them... will see soon
the result. Regards..

Hi Christoph:

Yes, but only for the moment... :) Anyhow the final render will not be
very big. I heavily use the low resolution to hide my lazyness. :(

  Again, I must try MegaPOV...

Of course! I think it works prety well for leaves. There is also a bit
of filter.

Well, I don't know if the version I have is really a "working one".
That is, I don't know if it really follows perfectly the original
algoritm. But it surely gives results very similar to the images from
the original paper.

Mine is a version revised by Ive (I've done nothing here) to use his
CIE.inc included on Lightsys. Philippe allowed it to be part of the next
Lightsys version, wich I will release soon (as always, making the docs
and examples is a real pain...).

  Thanks for the comments!

Yes, I think I will use a blob with slighty randomized components
following a parabolic spline... any better idea?

Hi Ib:

Yes, it's a mistery why they are so attractive... I like particulary
cloister patios, as the image shows.

About the water, sorry for the crappy placeholder...

  Thanks!

Well, MP 1.0 does not help you there - still it would be an intereating
image for this. If you want to get an idea how it looks feel free to send
me the source to render it as HDR.

Looking forward to it...

I know, currently working on the next isowood when time permits but it can
be really lots of work as soon as things are a bit more complicated.

Wow, very nice image Jaime! The radiosity really came out nice.
