I finally solved the math to get my feet to work the way I want them to.
Note how they bend at the back of the stroke and also touch down heel-first.
The math involved gave me a headache.
Next task: duplicate the realism of the sassy walk at:
http://www.cgcharacter.com/cghuman.htm
top right animation. (Just looking at the animated gif: as for the DIVx,
well, I couldn't see it.

Once again saw the latest documentary (I guess the latest, from a while
back) on Sasquatch or Bigfoot and this guy walks just like it. Except the
arms aren't hanging down enough. Computer simulations were used to point out
that humans have straightened legs and the famous film of Bigfoot shows it
was a bent-knee walk.
My first thought was that you could add some leaves blowing past and it
could be a gale wind from head on. Can't figure out why the heck you put
that label on the top right side. It would have been unobscuring if on the
left.

I suppose it violates human nature to say "look only at the improvement in
the feet construction and be impressed" -- a walk *is* an organic thing.
Here's an update, with hopefully more substantial improvement before the
next dribble:

That certainly looks better alright. Yeah, I didn't exactly say anything
supportive before did I? :-) Although I had noticed the feet were doing as I
saw recently at a web page simulating a human walk. The toes leave the
ground only after the other foot's heel touches. Toe, heel, toe, heel,
falling forward. Same for the knee bending on the trailing leg. I'm
wondering if the leg is being raised too much for a "walk" though. It's kind
of a jog, I think. In fact, this animation sped up several times would
probably be perfect to look like jogging. Oh, except there isn't enough
up/down motion of the body for that.
Oh hey, now this is great... I just discovered a play speed setting in
Windows Media Player 9. The walker guy looks real good at 1.8X and is
jogging at 4X. There isn't a setting between 2X and 4X but I think 3X might
have been nice to be able to see.

Except for the fact that his feet seem rather flat (but who am I to
criticize...) this looks very good (i.e. the movement). I'm only
commenting on the feet now... The next step would be to add a little
'jive' ;)

I had a look and it looks great! I'd like to see it from another angle,
so I can give more criticism ;)
I saw you had the shoulders swaying, might even be a bit more, do the
hips sway as well.
Oh, and perhaps you could add some "bounce".
I hope you don't take these remarks the wrong way, I really appreciate
(or more precisely: envy) your work. I wish I could do such stuff and
I'm just coming up with things I'd try to add if it were my
models/animations.
And, for what it's worth, the text panel you had in a previous version,
which covered most of the walking figure, I figured it was to keep focus
on the feet, but I thought it was funny nonetheless. You could use the
gag in a full animation (as if you hadn't already planned to).
