By the way, if you haven't already, you have *got* to check this out...
http://orange.half-life2.com/tf2.html
Click on the stuff under "trailers". In particular, the Meet The
Engineer tailer is just ROFL-inducing! (Click on the engineer's head;
he's the one wearing the yellow helmet.)

I wonder what Scott would make of it... ;-)
"Hey buddy, I'm an engineer. And that means I solve problems. Not
problems like 'what is beauty?', because that would fall within the
perview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems.
Problems like... how am I gonna stop some big mean mother-hubba from
tearing me a new structurally-superflours behind? The answer: use a gun.
And if that don't work? Use more gun. Like this little high-calibre
tripod-mounted number here. Designed by ME. Built by ME. And you'd
better hope... NOT POINTED AT YOU!"

Hehe I'd love to watch it but I don't think the other people sat around the
table here would approve of the sound...

Where the heck are you?
> Sounds cool :-)
The most amusing thing is the guy's gently country voice, as he sits
there by his camp fire playing his guitar. (Can you DO that with golves
on??)
And the minor fact that there's an entire army out there trying to kill
him as he casually sits there - but since he's surrounded by no less
than FOUR sentry guns, they're all getting mowed to bits! :-D
Seriously, you gotta see it to believe it... ;-)

On page 65 out of 97 of a very long and boring requirements specification
document... With such exciting statements such as "The connector must be
inserted in +y direction (vehicle coordinate system) in parallel to the
display surface"... zzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZ

Eight long years I have waited for this! I'm buying a new desktop!
What about grenades? I didn't see mention of them. Priming grenades
and precisely tossing them onto enemies was my main method of kills.
Concs? Conc jumping? What about bunny hopping? Please tell me that has
been eliminated. Its something I have tried to learn and never got
down. How about strafing along the wall? Its an old school speed boost
that I assume has been fixed? Is the scout's shotty the same as the
soldja's or significantly weaker like in the original? Tell me all!

Only the Demo man has grenades. Nobody else has them now.

I haven't observed any of this in TF2. (I never played the original
game. Or head of it, for that matter...)

The Scout has a "scatter gun", which seems to work differently to the
shotgun that everybody else has. It does seem to be weaker to me, but I
don't have any hard facts to back this up with.
I notice also that the soldier's shotgun fires much more slowly than the
one everybody else has...
