Hi,

I would like to add a section for new POV-Ray related links on the
Homepage because adding a link anywhere doesn't attract attention.

For example we also anounced our homepage on freshmeat (a general
software server). There we got much more hits than from the povray site
visited by people that should be more intrested in related topics.

This may be because my links data base has over 1300 links and takes
a little effort on part of the visitor to find a particular site.
Most people go there looking for a particular resource. For this
reason I have the link page set up in clearly defined categories
so that they do not have to wade through a great number of unrelated
links to find what they are looking for.

Which particular link of yours are you referring to ?

I am sorry, I got something wrong. I didn't realize that we already are
in the 25 recent added links (The 3D Animations Button on the top page
may be confusing). But I thought all these links are about Animations.
Then I only think it would be nice to add the new links at the top of
these 25 ones.

I mean AniTMT. The real link was put to quite deep section. Another
order for the 3D Animation links might be useful.

Thanks for help

There was a reason I put it where I did rather than in the generic
animation utilities section. You will notice under the animaition
utilities section all of those utilities relate to managing image
files into animation files. They do not have any support for
exporting files that POV-Ray itself can use.
The subsection of the animation utilities are programs that have
direct support for POV-Ray itself meaning they help you with object
placement. object movement, camera positioning, and anything else
to do with making animating your scenes in POV-Ray easier. I felt
that your program falls into this category better than a generic
image file manipulation program. You may correct me if I am wrong
but your program has direct support for POV-Ray and as such is
better classified as a POV-Ray animation utility than it is an
image manipulation program like those in the first section.

I have AniTMT bookmarked in IE. And btw, sorry I never got to use it before the
21st.
I tried to do a search on "animation" and "animate" at www.povray.org and it
didn't show so I found I had to use just AniTMT and then it brought up two
results. I don't search there very often but it does seem a bit quirky at
times. But I really like that you can search by time among other things.
Just a thought here, since there's distributed network rendering with AniTMT
perhaps it could also go in the
http://www.povray.org/links/3D_Programs/POV-Ray_Unofficial_Patches_and_Front_End
_Programs/POV-Ray_Front_End_Programs/ area. Or would that be pointless?
Hey, whoever's responsible for the search engine there I am forever grateful.

Bob
