Also, a small story in my blog about the little logo on the bottom left corner
of the image. :)

:)
Nice - I really like that you're POVving up a whole world of your own with lots
of little vignettes of creatures and events.
The textures and finishes of your life forms and your logo are very pleasing!

I'm also laughing really hard, because the internet always amuses me.

On another forum for a different software package, there's a user, which for
some currently inexplicable reason, nearly everyone initially assumes is female.
But then he occasionally posts an avatar showing the, uh, additional appendage.
It's hilarious.

For whatever reason, I had somehow envisioned you as a small, polynesian-type
guy, and no - you're in fact a 6ft tall metalhead rocking the soul patch

And I'm not even gonna try to explain how the rooster ties all that together.
:D :D :D :D
I'm just over here having coffee #1 and facepalming at myself. ;)

Great work, and I'm always glad to see that people still spend the time to learn
POV-Ray, create original beautiful images, and share them here with the rest of
the community.

Many thanks for the feedback and thoughts! :)

I could say that this project has become my lifework; to create a world of my
own, a whole lil' universe with all kinds of lifeforms, events and environments.
By now I'm having over 60 renderings finished and still plenty to come, and a
lot of lifeforms, items and even buildings yet to model and be implemented to
the lore. I tend to come up with visual ideas on a steady basis, and I also keep
writing down everything that could fit this world. So far I've got the story and
plot completely written for the 1st game, the concept is done for the 2nd, and
even got some notes and memos for a 3rd one. :D

At the moment I'm learning GameMaker Studio 2 which I'll use to create the
actual game(s), thus getting there bit by bit. Furthermore as a hobbyist
musician, I've also experimented with some calm and distant ambient/drone
soundscapes to echo in the background during the gameplay. I'll get in to the
audial part of the work later in the summer then.

Hahah, indeed. :D I remember when I was a hardcore raider in World of Warcraft
many years ago, and in our weekly guild runs we had this one person who for some
weird reason was always considered a she. The years of active raiding went by
normally, then one day after all this time the person started speaking in
TeamSpeak. That moment with the reactions from everyone was a total blast. :D

Aahahah! That's absolutely hilarious! :D :D :D

Well, I'm actually 5.6 ft "tall" and lightweight series (and from Finland,
somewhat far from Polynesia xD), but I surely keep on rockin' all the way! :)

Cheers! I'm also extremely happy that my alltime favourite program is still
alive and breathing, and that we've got this absolutely wonderful community for
all things POV. :)

Although interesting, from a mathematical perspective, this is not my
favorite picture of yours. But I write because I love your palette and
the consistency of its usage in your art.

Many thanks! :)

Originally this scene was mostly intended for testing ultra smooth settings for
blur with my new PC, and I also tried to come up with a rough sketch & ideas for
the sequel title screen just for lols and for some possible future use. I
haven't decided yet if I'll use namely this image as a part of my final project,
or if I'll revisit it later and adjust/improve if/when needed, or if some of the
ideas on this one could be used somewhere else. Certainly not my best, I agree,
although I kinda liked the slight illusion of action that comes from heavy blur
combined with media going wild all over the place. :D

I enjoyed reading the story about the rooster logo! And you mentioned two things
I also love... POV (of course), and metal. The first object I made when I began
learning to use POV back in the early 1990s was the Metallica logo, which
combined my interests into one activity! But I never reached the skill level you
have. I'm always happy to see when you post a new picture.

Dave Blandston

Many thanks for your kind words! :) \o/

Actually, I had a similar thing back in the day, early 90's it was, when also I
had the idea to POV the Metallica logo. :D However, never got far enough to
actually realize it for some reason. It can be that at first it perhaps felt a
bit too huge CSG jungle to get properly started with, and later on I may have
simply forgot it. Now when I think about it afterwards, it wouldn't be that
massive a work afterall. Maybe some day, if I only have time and inspiration, I
could give it a try again, hehe.

Cheers!

I think I remember Dave posting an update to his logo in the early 00's.
It was interesting enough to make me look up Metallica. ;-)
Your comment about old projects makes me want to revisit some of mine.
Ones that were to difficult for me at the time or to costly on resources
for the machines that I was using.

<irony> "Damn you, Moriarty!" He said, shaking his fist at the gods.
</irony>

I don't often comment on your images because too much time has gone past
by the time I have stopped looking at them. They are invoking and
disturbing. Which is a good thing. They definitely come under the banner
of "Art". Your current image captured me like a mandala. I only stopped
looking at it when I saw the baby Jesus and the Lord Ganesha.

I might go back to this fractal.

Or a derivation.
