Many thanks from Germany to Russia!

Many thanks for your comments.

One has to make compromises in CG. The walker is 2.10 m in height. Huge but not
impossible. The main problem I saw was the rope and the balance pole. They are
/* very */ much thicker as they should be. But invisible otherwise. And still
the anti-aliasing has problems with them. But increasing the the anti-aliasing
recursion depth yielded problems with the general lighting. So I had to meet a
compromise.

For your suggestion of arse illumination I have to study a little bit more. But
not with this image. I like it, and it will be as it is.

Best regards,
Michael

You might give UberPOV's stochastic anti-aliasing mode a try.

Good metaphor, although some would say a moon-textured balloon needs to go
between the others :P

The lighting is nice and moody, too, especially near the middle of the image.

I'm not quiet sure if I can enter the image into the actual TC-RTC competition.
First the link to the topic is only the connection about a journey which is a
bit weak.

But a weak link to a topic is not really my problem. Ian has a very constructed
link this round as well IMO. But Normand still has the Earth as a Balloon.

Otherwise there are only three entries so far.

What to do? Suggestions are welcome!

Best regards,
Michael

Without discussing it. Go for it.

Discussing it:
It would be a shame if you did not enter the image as it is so good.
It is a mistake to think that similar images are not wanted. They are,
it makes comparison easier. If the topic was Balloons everyone would
have a balloon image.
You have carte blanche to use your imagination.
