0.7 crashing every other time (Message 1 to 6 of 6)

All I get is the typical MegaPov.exe error and the program closes. The odd
thing about it is how the same exact scene file will either render or crash
MegaPov. No changes to a scene file in-between. So far I can't tell what
might be the possible cause since it happens in most any file I try to render.
Especially since the file will parse and render okay another time without
modification.

So, I post this message here mainly to find out if this is an isolated case or
if other people are experiencing the same kind of thing. I do know of one
other person saying it did likewise.

Have you tried re-d/l'ing? I have had nothing but excellent results, so far.

Hmm, I've had a similiar(ish) problem with mp 6 on win95.

The bug I reported (mp crashing if pigment list limit exceeded) did similiar
things.

I would render the scene using too large a map, MP would sometimes crash and
sometimes it would give me a correct error message.

If I got the correct error message, and modified the scene to use a smaller,
legal, map, MP would invariably crash when I tried to re-render.

In other words, MP seemed to be crashing not because of a problem in the
current scene, but because of a problem in the scene it had last rendered.

Dunno if this helps, but it does sound similiar to the problem you're
having.

Okay, did that. Same result. :-(
It behaves like a memory leak problem.
