See the attached scene and image files. The upper left result is a
repeat of an earlier thread about an easier to use 'brick' pattern, but
now with:

     finish { diffuse 0.8 brilliance 7 }

The upper right makes use of yuqk's 'it_scale' with:

     warp { it_amount 0.3 it_scale 0.022 }

The lower left adds:

     normal { concrete }

The lower right replaces that normal with:

     normal { concrete bump_size +1.9 scale 1/2 }

---

The end result is no match for Chris R's isosurface brick walls, but for
something quick, perhaps not too bad.

The 'concrete' normal perturbation can also be scaled up to a somewhat
large value to get something like a camouflage (partially rounded
facets?) result.

   normal { concrete bump_size -0.2 scale 50 }

In the attached image I changed the 'brick' pattern's 'ip_spacing' to:

   ip_spacing <1.0*0.7,0.0,0.0>

to demonstrates that the updated 'brick' pattern can be now used to
create other than strictly brick like patterns.
