Anyone have a Free Web site?
I've have one with Freeservers for over 10 years. The other day I lost all
access to it. At first I thought that the server was having problems, so I gave
them a few days to see if it cleared up. No Luck! Then I thought that maybe my
browser was at fault(corrupt bookmark). No way! I have my site listed on the
POV-Ray Web-Ring and I could get a preview of my site there. But I still
couldn't open the web page from there. I did find out that I've have over 20,000
visitors to the site. I finally decided to contact Feeservers and see whats
what. That was yesterday, haven't heard from them yet. But I'm getting ready to
find a new free web server.
Any body have any favorite Free web server?

I don't know any free hosts, but some are cheap. Mine was $200 for 5 years.

Likewise. I doubt you can find too many *free* web hosts [that aren't
plastered with advertising]. The closest I could find is free blog
hosting. But there are many, many places that will do general web
hosting for *very* little money. (Hell, Amazon S3 doubles as a web host
for static files, and they have a global content distribution network to
optimise load times for you!)

I would have thought that more people here would have used Free web services.
Thanks for replies, anyway.

I stopped when Geocities went offline. Now if I have anything I want to
share I just use Youtube.
Sorry I could not help.

It turns out that Freeservers is still free if you purchase a domain starting
at $22.95

I wouldn't call that free. I'd call that a bundle including both a
domain and web hosting services.
