Gratuitous use of Leonard Cohen lyrics [Closing Time]:

And I just don't care what happens next
Looks like freedom but it feels like death
It's something in between, I guess
It's CLOSING TIME

I'm gutted too.
In fact I've booked a downer until the end of the weekend.

What currently maddens me most is how the same people who advocated the
exit now appear to be remarkably reluctant to actually pull this through.

Except for the loud braying one, they probably secretly hoped it would
not come through. 'Cheap' election propaganda. Shame on them.

That's what I think too.
Except for the loud, blond, foolish one. Nobody wants the job. A curse
on them.

You mean that British Trump(TM) knock-off?
Worst of them all. Never wanted anything but the keys to 10 Downing
Street, I bet.

Never trust anyone wearing an unruly piece of Orang-Utan fur on their head.

Of course, he who emulates "The Duck". Or whatever he wants to be called.

I don't know. The Queen gets to wear a nice sparkly hat. He would look
nice with one of those crown, things.

All that money and can't afford a decent haircut.
(Although, I'm not one to talk. Some days my hair looks like Medusa's
when there is a mongoose about.)

I keep thinking that his name must be a stage name, and that his real
name must be Scrooge McTrump.
Then again, he doesn't seem to have anywhere close enough money to bathe in.

It seems he couldn't care less about fancy head dresses.
Now if there was any actual power attached to it, that would certainly
be a different story.

Maybe. But since you've presumably never aimed for a job where you're
constantly on TV (except maybe CCTV), I guess you can be excused.

That is an image I don't want to keep.

I don't know. He is a Tory and that is the top job in the land. He could
ruin all of the country. Just being himself.

I resemble that remark! ;)

It's interesting watching the behaviour of the main players in the game.

David Cameron resigns as PM - honourable but misguided
Jeremy Corbyn sacks one of his senior lieutenants - stupid and petty, it
provokes a landslide of resignations
Michael Gove and Boris the Blond duck and cover - neither knows what to
do next. And ...
Nigel Farage goes to the pub and gets pissed

I'm ordering in extra popcorn

John (sitting back to enjoy the show)
