As it happens allergies kept me up for about an hour last night, so I
had the perfect chance to watch some of it, which I enjoyed. When
watching semi-comic let's-plays like this I'm never quite sure if its
the game itself that's silly, or I just feel that way because I'm
watching it with a silly narration.

Having played the game years ago, it's not nearly as funny as his animation
makes it, but clearly there were some tension-defusing parts that were quite
hilarious, like after you kill the first boss, and the ghost guy.

I thought it was unfair to make fun of the voice actor for the ghost, given
the ghost character was clearly supposed to be a prissy pooftah sort of
arteest sort of character.

Still a funny running gag though. Somewhat tangential, but you reminded
me of an Eddie Izzard skit *although it's quiteas amusing out of the
context of the rest of the show). Relevant part around 2:30:

Ok, 100% tangential, but how are you liking Google so far? Have you
been able to take advantage of the 20% time yet, or are you saving it up
for when you're a bit more settled?

It's odd. In some ways, it's awesomely cool. In other ways, it's like "what,
really, you don't manage any better than this?" Management is very good,
the environment is very good, the programmers are all very smart and competent.

Most definitely. That and making fun of the "drunk irishman" stereotype.

Then I started watching him play Darkness 2 (which I never really plan to
play), and the first time he walks past a mirror, he starts comparing
himself to Patrick. :-) The last video before the final boss of undying had
me laughing so hard I couldn't see straight.
