I have heard of sPatch and would like to give it a try. Where can I download
the latest release from? Is it still freeware?

You can download the current version which is freeware at:
http://www.cableone.net/alyson/spatch.html
Anytime you need a Pov utility or program take a look in my links collection.
See my personal home page or I mirror a copy of that page here on this
server in the announcements group. If it's on the net I probably have a
link to it.

I've tried this link a couple of times, and I keep getting version 1.5,
which doesn't know how to export, rather than version 1.51, in which the bug
is supposed to be fixed. Or perhaps I've misunderstood something....?

I used to have this link for the program as well as the one posted previously.

Perhaps the updated version was on this alternative site but it is now
inactive so I can't verify that for you.
I have v1.5 and have not had problems exporting with it.
Where did you hear about the version difference ?

This seems to refer only to double-clicking on a doc, but I can't get
sPatch to export from the pull-down menu, either. My own ignorance, no
doubt.

Thanks Ken!
Right now I am in my first stages of sPatch and am designing a lamp! At the
rate I am going it'll take me a lifetime but atleast I have an interrest in
looking and admiring at other peoples scenes....
