You post a 200k attachment just for test reasons??????
I don't think that is a good idea ....

I looked at the file and it's a POV script of mostly bicubic patches at about 1
megabyte in size, so good thing it was a compressed file "test" :-)
I didn't understand the scene but it rendered fast and looked okay from what I
could tell. No idea why it's a boat and flowers but I'm guessing water could
be added and then it would make more sense.
Hope Marc-Hendrik hasn't scared you away, scene file posts are always welcome
I'm sure although I'm not an authority figure here. A file containing nothing
with that file size would be something to consider not posting but this isn't
the case here.
No sign of this being a Moray file so I wondered what you used to model it?

Didn't want to scare anybody away :-) I just couldn't do anything with the
attachment (me and my computer did not recognise the .rar-filetype), and
with no description at all, I thought it was a mistake or something. And
since there is that much consideration about server space and such, a post
with no description and which subject-line "test", was at least suspicious
to me.
Anyway, I'm no authority figure here too, so I probably should not care
about it.
Sorry, James. Just my fault ...
Marc-Hendrik

Yes you can.
Be aware that RAR, while usually offering better compression than zip,
is not as cross-platform and as popular as ZIP is, so not everyone can
use your file. In the future, please use zip to compress your files.
Thank you.

Hey I'd like to apologise to one and all for posting such a large attachment
as a "test" - I tried to test-post to the group "junk" and it refused - I
thought it might have refused my test-post here as well - it didn't.

The "junk" group has restricted access as does povray.bugreports
and povray.announce.frequently-asked-questions.

In hindsight I think that the criticisms I got were fair enough - I must
admit I was hasty with my post when I found that these newsgroups existed.
In answer to your question, I used Hamapatch to create the scene. I'm new to
all this, the boat was not mine - I grabbed it off the 'net just to see if I
could get Hamapatch to work.
Hamapatch BTW is a "derivative" of sPatch - a modeller for Windows.

Don't feel bad, my first attachment sent to this server was the
Happy99.exe trojan(worm, virus, whatever--it was an accident of
course)and they still let me hang out here. :)

If people didn't complain there would only be anarchy :-)

That should have been my 2nd guess, thanks. I have a version of it but never
use it. I'm not much of a GUI modeler person.
