A few updates FYI:

Megatime.inc has TZ data base, no need to know your TZ.
No need to know a julian date, now with 2 date inputs, GMT and local.

I have yet to see a null identifier or a way to handle it; if your date("%z") is
null, its not my fault, I looked.

what else ...
everything-to-set (everything but targets) is compacted into 1st 30 lines
pld.pov, no more having to wander off to set something

many corrections ...
camera with sequenced axis controls
.... gettin close to done

gee pure green cant move off zero parallax, no surprise there.

seems to be always needing zerop and eyesep adjustments directly in relation to
the size of the rock, goin to have to fix that.

I just gotta say this is way cool having 2 (complete) povrays to use at the same
time.

Complete as in Console with,
pifs that keep Console running
bats that need closing with @echo off cls
pvConsole_help prompt
text streams to 1 file (just the right streams)
anaglyphs auto-run from DOS in windows viewer after composite

added as of this post.

planetarium5.zip for 3D-space Cadets
If a new user got hold of this file, he'd be that way for a shorter period.

So how you guys doing with those "new" windoze OSs? Any DOS stuff work or is it
all different? Like I just need another language format.

Good old .bat files still exist, I bet. Then there's Windows Scripting Host of
course.

I don't really get who has and has not shades, but there's another view everyone
may be missing ...

Here is Mars and nearly invisible Deimos, load the image and mouse-drag to
invert to highlighted colors, (firefox here); like turning up the ambient
light, heh.

As it happens, just when I complained I didn't have anaglyph shades, my favorite
computer magazine published an issue about 3D (computer stereo imagery, not
rendering) including one of those. (They do fit over my regular glasses
comparatively well.)

Though I must say that I consider the cyan filter crap. The red filter does
deserve its name, letting nothing pass except red indeed, but the cyan filter
still lets me see the whole picture, just reducing the red component a bit.

Ah well, after all it's a marketing give-away sponsored by a web hosting
company, so no big surprise it's cheapo.

The concept - yes, definitely.

The quality - I'm afraid no, not at all.

Get some better starfield (upon close inspection, you can tell it's a snapshot
from a screensaver). A MUCH better one. Add some subtle lens flares.

And by all means, DO move that interstellar ride out of sight...
