 No, you're not being ignored, and I understood you. :)

  The thing is actually, is that this is all quite moot because there are 
images in the HOF already that 'have' used modeling programs. I say moot 
because I think it's possibly a personal preference thing when it comes to 
choosing a particular image on the part of our POV Maestro, Chris Cason 
himself. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

   To be fair, you can't use POV-Ray as just a raytracer... little programs 
have a decent plug-in/exporter for POV-Ray, and usually what you "fed" to 
POV-Ray needs heavy rework to enhance the textures and lighting. So, when 
you see a scene, modelled in other program and rendered with POV-Ray, which 
looks awesome, you can be sure it deserves to be in the HOF.

   Moreover, we want POV-Ray to be used everywhere, isn't? So, I don't see 
anything wrong in promoting it as standalone raytracer too. ;)
