Here is my render again, having added the ivy from the Ivy Generator,
changed the trees, adjusted the slope of the path, and fixed the area light
shadows(thanks to Thomas and Alain). I'd appreciate all comments and
suggestions. Let me know what you think!

I love the scene in general, but the light is way too green. I know what
you're going for, but it looks totally unrealistic. Try moving somewhere
towards red rather than green.
Keep posting it .. I'm enjoying it come along .. and the ivy is fantastic.

Very nice, I like the green atmosphere but I think that you should have more
tree cover for it to be realistic. A couple of other points that I think
might improve the image. Since the arch of the bridge is made of stones I
think the top of the base should have a keystone to help it stay up. The
length should be across the bridge. Finally the scale of the ivy is too
great job.

I didn't agree about the green at first, but after having re-rendered with
more red, I see what you mean. Here it is again:

Nice! I would suggest for the final picture to replace the tree that is in
full view (with the roots in the water) with a more detailed version.

Absolutely great pic!
In the nitpicking department ;-) : I don't think grass would grow so close
to the tree; and with trees so close, I would expect to see some serious
amounts of moss on the underside (and a bit on the sides too) of the
bridge, and on the rocks just above water level.
I disagree on the too-green comment, though. The camera is in the shadow of
a tree, meaning light comes through the leaves, which in my experience
tends to give everything a green hue. On the other hand it might be a
monitor-calibration thing.

It's not monitor calibration. The second is more realistic. If the light
were so green from being filtered by leaves, then it would be a very
very soft light and cause minimal shadows. However the shadows here are
very sharp so it's direct sunlight.

I agree to the better sun color but to be more realistic, some blueish light
should come from sky with radiosity
