Thanks!

I had originally scaled down the girl to 85% - I often find DAZ's Victoria 3
model a little too large. I scaled her back up in this picture - do you
think she looks too big? I'm not quite sure. I agree with you on the chair,
so I touched that up, too.

Rob.

Yeah, I see what you mean. The table on the left is larger with a height of
34 inches - the right table is only 32" high. They are almost parallel: the
left table is angled slightly away from the wall (I hate everything
perfectly lined up!). Not sure if that accounts a noticeably different
vanishing point. I'll have to experiment a bit with that.

Thanks,

Rob.

I got a bit lazy with the code to tilt the books on the bookshelves - did
you notice that the books only tilt to the right? :-)

The model is a mesh2 and the chair is CSG. It takes me a lot of trial and
error to position them just right. Maybe I should try modelling a bit more
in Wings so I can make all my chairs OBJs and import into DAZ|Studio or
Poser where I can position things visually.

Thanks,

Rob.

To help you position correctly objects touching each other, like figure and
chair (or any other collision between books for instance), you may consider
using trace{} in POV-Ray. Just make sure the figure is "sitting" at the
origin, translate her to a point above the chair and let trace do the rest.
Much less trial and error then :-)

and replicate them in PovRay as reference points of a fuller prop.

That was it: now everything suddenly seems to be on the same scale!

Yes, but now she might need a slightly higher desk as well (knees hurt).
