you'll have to wait for the larger versions... this itty-bitty 640x480 took
my 800MHZ wintel box at work 6 hours to render... I'm scared to think of
what it will do to my poor little iMac at home (no, work won't let me run a
render job overnight... they get weird about stuff like that)...

there's _tons_ of possibilities for this sort of style... I have a friend
who does a lot of acrylic paintings using mostly a pallet knife, and I was
trying to capture that rough-edged sort of texture... naturally, it takes
off in its own crazy direction... actually reminds me more of toothpaste :).
I intend of revisting this style soon, but in the meantime, I've got other
weird things to work on...

you can resume interrupted renderings with the +c commandline command.

Well done Dan!
Where the first experiments look more like action painting, "just" blobs
of paint on a canvas. This one is more like an abstraction of something.
It triggers my fanatsy. For me it's an abstraction of railway journey,
going through little towns with brick buildings and fields with yellow
flowers or corn. Also there is a lot of water with wild vegetation to bee
seen. Let's not forget the white puffs of smoke from the steam loc.

Aaaaaaaaaaah Yes
I began to be fed up by photorealism (though I love most of the works of
that stuff but feel it hegemonic), here is an other way for POV, but if your
spaghetti are good your peas are too glossy (arrggggh old reflex damn me ;-)

I'd certainly be willing to render large versions for you and put them
somewhere everyone can get them... If you'd rather not give out the
source, I understand. If you want to though, just send me an email...

<snip>

Peas are the work of the devil, and any abuse or mistreatment they receive
at my hands is purely intentional ;)
