electric.. ;-) (do non-black Oreos exist?)

like the new plinth. had hoped that, after you mentioned Aladdin's lamp,
there'd be smoke issuing from the spout with the outline of the genie emerging
-- in Disney blue!

That's really stunning! A beautiful render.

I have yet to get into HDR lighting in any way; still on my *long* to-do list.

i already explored the smoke idea...problematic. i think diff hdr probe
and lighting would give better results. rather spend time working out
the (gnome) uv mapping in blender... i want to detail him out.

it's a cheap source of eye candy for reflective objects...thanks!

would have been futile, due to pending assimilation. :-)

I'd been thinking (naively) that TdG's recent cloud/smoke generating code could
be used (though I've not played with it (yet)), and an image[*] of the genie
"embedded" in the same volume; did a quick image search on 'Aladdin genie',
plenty to choose from.

[*] converted to a DF3, or set of.

have only a (very) vague idea of the hdr/lighting stuff, will need to read up.

what's with the little hole in its chest? shot? :-)

Cannot refrain from commenting :-)
It would be an interesting way to explore. Traditionally, one would try
to use e.g. Michael Carneholm's SmokeGen, especially with the spout as
origin. However, a drawback is the multiple use of intersecting
containers needed. I have played with the idea of a single container for
a smoke column but without real results atm.

Hi,
I like the idea. There is a scale problem: the oreos are much too big for the
teapot and dwarf too small for a garden (though dwarf scale can be flexible
depending on what you want to convey and degree of realism you go for).

If you want more visual realism, since I would expect the dwarf to be bigger
than oreo, then I would rest the oreos upon his head rather than have him
sitting on them. This would require having that teapot and dwarf+oreo at
different distances from camera so they can all be readable : so The dwarf in
the forground and viewed slightly from above to preserve him from too much depth
of field blurring and keep oreo more meaningfull.

Thus the pedestal probably needs to widen and host all of them and why not some
initial container at its foot to tell a story... (indiana jones leather satchel
/Dora the explorer's bag?/...?) so that all these so different objects don't
lack a reason to belong to the same universe. If no reason other than artistic
license, then maybe they would need to be placed in a way that either asks or
solves some kind of riddle... What do you think?
