A nice start, look forward to seeing this one progress.

Be aware that camels need some training!

Your tent is nice!
Hunting camels is not a good sport!

A Persian carpet... looking nice! And it's not too far-fetched, as
Artaban was a Mede... although I'm not sure whether they had this kind
of carpets in the Parthian empire during the 1st century BC...
On the other hand, I can remember having seen a partially preserved
carpet from the Achaemenid era (around 500 BC) some 15 years ago in an
itinerant exhibition of Scythian treasures from the St. Petersburg
Eremitage... and the ornaments did not look too different from
modern-day Persian carpets, albeit less detailed!
See you in Khyberspace!

Hi, Yadgar
Thanks for the compliments. Can you point me towards the older designs?
I am trying to keep this as true to the time as possible.

O.k., here they are (the famous Persian/Scythian Pazyryk carpet, 5th
century BC)... I found them on Wikipedia.
Unfortunately, I failed to find images of carpets made around the
beginning of the Christian Era, as far as I know, the next-younger
carpet fragments date from about 400 CE!
But this Achaemenid masterpiece is really stunning... I wonder whether
modern replicas exist, I really could imagine such carpets lying on the
floor of LanuHum's modernist home!
See you in Khyberspace!

Yes, they do... apparently made in Afghanistan! This picture gives a
more complete impression of how this ancient carpet looked like:

Thank you for the images and the link. I will definitely use at least
one of the patterns in my tc-rtc submission

Thanks Yadgar! These carpets are beautiful, showing from how far back
those objects come to us. I shall store them for future use in Gancaloon :-)

Carpetry will also be an important issue in Khyberspace/POVghanistan -
fortunately, most Afghan carpets are not as finely woven as the Persian
ones, so it will save memory!
See you in Khyberspace!
