So I'm English, then. I guess I better study up on the royals. Prince William,
OMG, he must be in his 30s by now! Is he married yet? ;-)

I forgot to mention that the splashes are all Jaime's doing. ;-) I only
adapted the texture and changed the way they are traced.

Hi Thomas,

I thought they probably were from the comment you had made already.

Have you thought about adding a puddle at the foreground where the ground dips?
With that much rain falling I would expect to see some puddles around.

Always mention your masters ;-)

That is the next step in fact: some water running down the road.

It is better remain in the tavern at the moment...
It's a very impressive image!

Thanks Paolo! You have to hurry; the nearest tavern is just beyond the
gate ;-)

little test to see what lightning would contribute... mostly render
time. This piece took more than 3 hours.

Not sure if I want to keep this. I prefer just a dismal and wet day,
without the pompous shouting of the gods. ;-)

Wow! That makes it look so much more convincing on the distance...

I hope I didn't give you a hard time with my usual sickly code...
IIRC, the rain macros were a bit of a inconsistent mess.

Not at all! I find them very comprehensive. A few inconsistencies I
corrected, and added what I thought would improve the whole. Still, your
basic idea is standing strong. Especially your splash macro is a
brilliant idea imho.

I shall also have a look at the other rain macros, especially the
splash+rings. Soon I shall upload them for every one's benefit.
