I think it is great, I cannot really suggest anything to improve it.

I like the fact I can make out something behind the tree to the left, looks like
a rock or crevice but I cannot see exactly what it is which I think it is a good
thing to have in an image, it keeps your mind wondering and makes you look in
more detail at the image. Although with this one I had the 'dis'advantage of
looking back at the original to see what it was ;-).

Thanks indeed Sean. I shall leave it at that.

Yes, that is always an interesting feature with (groups of) trees. And
easy to achieve. Interesting things like this can also be achieved with
buildings, providing little peep holes into otherwise hidden areas. More
difficult to achieve, certainly, as they need to look casual.

Thanks indeed Bill. In a much later stage I may revisit this scene as
there are a couple of little ideas floating in my mind.

I think this is looking really nice Thomas, I love all the detail that you've
added to the foreground :)

Cheers,
Rob

Indeed? I would need to test how it looks back-lighted. What I did now
to the - basically - Poser textures, is add some transparency and a
small amount of back light diffuse. I did this also for the tree leaves
in the background.

The effect is of wet grass illuminated by the sun, and I like the
contrast with the shadow zone.
If you have time to waste, you can try to add a path.
