Basically, just a colored glass bottle with Megapov glows (one colored, one
white) along with a Povray lightsource. The base kinda sucks on close
inspection, but for my scene, the camera will not be nearly this close. It
also uses the familiar kitchen probe for HDRI lighting. Depending on the
light model used, I had to adjust the intensity of the glows. They are
several times brighter here in rather dim HDRI than was necessary in a
standard povray lighting environment.

Overall, I'm rather pleased with the result. :-) Now it's time to begin
adding them to my scene.

very nice! Only the reflections look a bit strange to me.

I think the specular of the wood makes it look strange, especially with
HDRI.

They look great!

Ahh - genius! Well, maybe not, but I had a "slap my forehead" moment.

How to make a glow white-out in the middle? Add a white glow. Of course!

Again, nice looking render,
Edouard.

"Elementary, my dear Watson" :-)
I had that same reaction, like you!

Looking very good indeed.

The glows work better than I thought they would. Good work so far!

You might want to find a living room probe though, if you plan of adding
spherical tree ornaments :)

The actual kitchen won't be visible, except perhaps in the reflections of
the ornaments. But even then, I'm not too concerned. If you look at
Jaime's Christmas tree
(http://www.ignorancia.org/uploads/images/baubles-tree/baubles-tree-7c.jpg),
even then you'd really have to look close to figure out that it's a kitchen.
In my scene, I don't think the camera will be quite that close, but it's too
early to say exactly...

...maybe I should be like the guy that tried to sell a TV on eBay that he'd
taken a picture of when he was naked (and he was in the reflection), then
just wait for people to notice... (what's that thing in the background? a
gorilla?)

Wow, I just love this image! Really shows some of the beauty POV-Ray can present
in even _seemingly_ simple scenes. Cool!
