Yeah, was wondering about something of that sort as well. Still undecided if
I should just drop a shadow from the outside, or if there's something inside
of the room and in front of the window to drop a shadow. I'll keep it in
mind.

Tim

Very nice image, I like those glossy radiosity indoor images. Reminds me
of http://www.irtc.org/ftp/pub/stills/2003-04-30/incubus_.jpg

There seem to be some artifacts on the glass table and the cable of the
lamp is a bit too thick for my taste. Otherwise - Very good job! Looking
forward to see this one developing.

Greetings,
Florian

I'm not too happy with the thickness of the cable myself, but things like
that only show themselves once you piece the entire image together.

As for the artifacts, that's the refraction at work, bending the rays causes
them to hit brighter parts of the image. Higher res and better antialiasing
on the final run should take care of that. Another trouble with POV-Ray is
the way that colors are clamped only when they are written to disc. In
effect, if a ray encounters a very bright surface (which is inevitable with
the bright light), it saturates the other samples on a pixel. The only
workaround I know of is to render a very high res instead of using
antialiasing, and scale the image down. I wish POV-Ray would have a switch
to set for clamping of samples *before* or *after* averaging them together
during antialiasing...

Regards,
Tim

Wow, this scene keeps getting better and better.

The couch is nice, but I love the table. It's got a very minimalistic (!)
cast to it. (Haven't I said this before...? Can't remember. Getting
old...:)

What can I add to what others already said? This is simply beautiful,
inspiring, and very well done. Perhaps a tiny little bit of normals on walls
and ceiling to get rid of colored bands?

Wow, this looks really nice! Still a little bare, though.. I look
forward to the version with the rug. And maybe it's just me, but I think
the sunlight should be brighter.
